Decreasing speed eats into the next clip(s)

So increasing playback speed with “L” resulted into too fast off a playback.

So instead I just changed the speed property of the clips.

Now I want to return the speed property back to normal.

However when I do so, it eats into my next clip(s).

Do I seriously have to manually drag the next clip far to the right and then change speed?

Turn Ripple ON before you change speed and watch the magic happen The button is in the timeline toolbar. It looks like a small target… Or to be more appropriate: like concentric ripples in water.

Toggling Ripple on, off, on. Nope. Unfortunanely it seems like my project is bugged and truthfully I have just switched to using a different software.
