Copying my shotcut video to my Samsung phone

Hi there,

I am new to Shotcut.

I have made and saved my first . mp4 video and saved it to my Windows 7 computer.
I now want to share it to my Samsung ph. However it won’t copy over. As it starts to copy and then says it does not support it.

Please advise what I can do to save it to my phone.

Many thanks

You say you saved your video. Do you mean export ?
When you Save from Shotcut, you don’t get a video file. You get a .mlt file that your phone can’t recognize and play.

When you’re done editing your video, go to the Export panel, then click the Export file button.
The exported file will be a .mp4 video that will play without a problem on your phone.

Not all Android phones can play all MP4 file. As you didn’t give any information about the file or the phone it is difficult to know what the problem is.

You could try exporting the MP4 file using the H.264 Baseline Profile and see if that works.

Thanks Elusien,

Yes, I did export my video to my Windows 7 computer. I exported it as a .mp4 file.
I now want to copy that video from my computer to my Samsung phone.

I will try the H.264 Baseline Profile.
