Can't install shotcut - Ubuntu

I’ve just upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS. The software installation tools can’t install Shotcut. Instead there’s a message from SNAP: Bad request. I don’t know whether this means Shotcut isn’t ready for this mode or something else is broken. NTL no Shotcut for me, so far… [/frown]

BUMP

I retried this and there’s no change: no Shotcut under Ubuntu 16.04.3. I assume this means someone needs to have a chat with Ubuntu people. Sure would be nice to have Shotcut back. For now I’m stuck with Kdenlive.

I also have never been able to install the Snap version of Shotcut. However I do user regularly the Portable version of it. Just download it form the download page, unzip it, mark the main program as executable and you can then run it.

Thanks. I’ll give it a try.
