Broken/detached clip after canceling 'Make proxy'

Hi there!

So, I have a single source file that I have taken many clips from across a couple of separate tracks on the Timeline.

At the moment I’m dealing with a problem whereby dragging new clips from the player on to the Timeline does seem to add it, but the clip is basically empty (transparent). So my way to solve this has been to navigate to Settings > Proxy > Use Proxy and deselect this option, and the reselect it, which regenerates the clip on the timeline, or fixes the issue with it not being visible on the timeline (or in the player when viewing the timeline).

Now, I can deal with that - but recently I decided instead to select the source, go to Properties and select Proxy > Make Proxy instead, to see if that would also work (out of curiosity). Well, that was taking longer so I right clicked on the proxy job and selected **Stop this job.
**
Uh oh. Now my clips are all in some kind of detached state where they appear on the timeline but are seemingly empty of any actual video, the clip properties are also non-existent when switching to the Properties panel, and selecting the original source file in the Playlist and right clicking on the clip in the timeline and selecting Replace just replaces the clip with the source video at the beginning (so, not according to the in/out markers of the clip).

Am I done for? Do I have to re-implement all of these clips from their source file? Or is there a way to save these clips and relink a source file?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ah! When closing and reopening the project file it geve me the opportunity to replace/relink a proxy file so that has worked perfectly.
