Black bars on my videos when in Shotcut and after export

Hi black bars appear at the side of my vids.They are not there before i open shotcut.I try to crop the bars but it doesn’t let me,i try to use size and position.HELP

More than likely your source video is a different aspect ratio/size than your video mode (settings).
