shotcut ver 25.10.31 on Linux mint 22.2 i screen recorded desktop with “vokoscreenrec” and tried “simple screen recorder” both when i speedup to 1.3 and apply pitch correction the audio sounds like its doubled or has echo, windows version is ok no doubling effect
Just to be clear… You are using the same Shotcut version and the exact same media files on Windows and Linux and you get different results?
Did you download both versions from the Shotcut Download page?
Maybe you could upload a short example so we can hear the echo problem.

The builds we provide on our Download page are using very similarly versioned software components between Linux and Windows for the more critical multimedia dependencies.
It sounds like it could have trouble seeking accurately when you change the speed but also people have complained about pitch compensation quality in general. You can try using Properties > Convert on the file and see if the converted file works better.
