4 in 1 - Mask: From File, Audio issue, Filters, and Display

I am using Windows 11.
My Shotcut version is 26.2.26

1- Problem is that it takes a lot of time to load “Mask:From File” when you click it. At first I did not understood n clicked multiple times as I thought there is something wrong with my mouse, but the software went in “Not Responding” mode. Now I don’t know it’s with me or there is an actual bug in the new update.

2- Secondly when I do the Editing on multiple footages the audio inside the video appear unsynched(like the audio starts earlier when you bring the playhead over an empty place but you see that it already started, and when you bring it to spikes where the audio resides then it is empty, you cannot judge correctly where is your audio and where is the empty or unnecessary places) or vanishes completely, it is there but seem to be like that. I have to close n reopen the project multiple times in order to make my cuts on the right positions.

3- “Sometimes” when I import a second footage to the timeline and despite of it being on the upper layer (No Blend Mode changed) the display shows video from bottom layer. To fix this I have to close n reopen the project.

4- Lastly, when I apply suppose 4 to 5 filters to a clip then I cannot reselect a filter if I have to make changes again. To fix this I have to click on another video in the timeline then on the first video in Timeline and it selects a particular filter upon click.

I have restarted my laptop, a few days passed but the issues r still there. I again apologize for writing too much but these r the problems we are facing, at least I am having them with the new update.

Thank you for your attention.

  1. It is creating the stock presets, and this might go slow sometimes especially on slow storage. Will not be addressed soon.
  2. I do not reproduce it. It is probably having trouble to seek on your media and it should be converted to edit friendly.
  3. I do not reproduce it. Maybe you need to turn off Settings > Preview Scaling > Use Hardware Decoder if it is not working good on your system.
  4. There is a known bug related to reordering and/or pasting filters like this. Another workaround is to click the X button in Filters to deselect the current filter.

Thank you for taking time to respond. I shall do as directed for some workarounds. But please work on these issues which r because of software internal issues just like selecting filters n clicking the “Mask: From File” filter.
and you guys r doing great work.
