360 Video Plugins - some documentation / tutorials

I see these were just added about two and a half weeks ago, there are empty entries in the Documentation area.

I am new to ShotCut (today!) but I was able to use the plugin to easily adjust the viewpoint of a 360 video.

There is mention of “injecting the metadata” in the Resources section post “Plugins for 360 Video”. Being able to generate video with metadata would be a breakthrough because I have been searching for almost two weeks for that capability and have only found it in Adobe Premiere.

My request: a video tutorial on the 360 Video Plugins and how to inject the metadata.

I’m not aware of any tutorials posted in the forum, but here is the tool for injecting metadata as well as a thread about usage to get you started:

If you encode a 360 video in equirectangular projection using Shotcut, then you need to inject some metadata into a mp4 or matroska/webm in order for spherical video players and video services to know that it is 360 degrees. Google made a utility for this (for Linux, any power user can figure out how to use this at the command line):
