Is the stuttering audio only in the preview in the application? Or does it also occur in exported videos when played in a media player?
Assuming the stuttering is only in preview, there are some things you can do to make the playback smoother:
- Enable Settings->Real Time (frame dropping)
- Preview Scaling
- Proxy Editing
- Convert the file to edit friendly (“convert” button in the properties panel)
Stuttery playback is sometimes a result of using a spinning disk hard drive instead of faster SSD drives.
