Smooth zoom in/out effect to a text

Hi there guys,

Shotcut is an amazing project, really nice UI and it is OPENSOURCE!!!
I need to make a video where text pop up with fade in and smoothly zoom in in 4-5 seconds of keyframe, after that it disappears with fadding out.

I read there is still no keyframe support, but is there a workaround? Like a code or something.

When to expect keyframe support?

It’s been a while and now we can use keyframes. But I’m still not able to figure out is it possible
to smoothly zoom in text for few seconds and than the text to disappear?

It’s quite simple.

The text is on a transparent layer. Added the Size and Position filer to it. Set the first key frame to the default size and position using fill to zoom. Advanced pla yhead to 4 seconds. Zoomed to 3X.

Added opacity filter to the text clip. Set the first key frame to 100% added a second key frame at 4.10 sec at 100% then added a third Key frame at 4.11 set to 0% to make the text disappear rapidly.
